NEEDS
Partners Around the World is making a
difference in the lives of many poor and needy people through
our programs in Ivory Coast, West Africa. Our top
priority is to build a new learning center to replace the
"shack" (at right) which is in a community called Biabou on
the outskirts of Abidjan.
We need your help to empower
many more poor children and young people to get an education
that will enable them to rise up out of poverty and have
a fulfilling future. You, too, can help Partners
Around the World make a difference in many more lives by
partnering with us and giving financial support for this
project.
Our top
priority in 2007 is to begin Stage One of a new educational
building in Biabou.
Stage One is to build six classrooms for
preschool, kindergarten, 1st through 6th grades, sewing classes, a
sewing production center, a computer lab, and auditorium.
How You Can HelpTo help us transform lives in
Africa, please consider ways you can assist our work. As you might
expect, financial gifts are the most useful and flexible. Here are
some of the ways your gifts help the poor, the sick, the needy:
- $20 per month provides medical aid and
food for an AIDS victim.
- $5 per day pays for transportation and food for
one of our 12 teachers.
- $25-$30 per month buys a 100 lb. sack of rice for a needy
family.
- $20 per month provides food and transportation to
public school for an orphan.
- $25 per month helps a widow and her children.
- $30 provides school supplies for a poor child per year in
public schools.
- $50 - $100 helps a person start their own
microenterprise
- $150 buys a sewing machine for our sewing school
or for a graduate to start her own
business
