Objectives

The objectives of Partners Around the World include education and social integration, values building, and humanitarian aid.

Most of the children and adults with whom we work have little or no instruction or experience that that would prepare them to join the main stream culture of Ivory Coast. The values of living on the streets or in enclaves of abject poverty, and the low level of education, are too often at odds with the skills needed to become fully functioning citizens. Our efforts to improve this state of affairs include the following:

Education and Social Integration

Our objectives concerning education and social integration are to provide centers of primary-level education, sewing training (to provide useful job skills), and adult literacy. We also support a soccer team consisting of disadvantaged teenagers.

Values Building

Our objectives include values building where we work to train and inspire at-risk youth in cultural, societal, and spiritual values, helping them to integrate into a stable society and enjoy a better future.

Humanitarian Aid

Our objectives concerning humanitarian aid are to provide food, offer medical assistance, give student aid, and educate children and parents concerning proper hygiene, HIV/AIDS, and malaria and other illnesses.
